Eric Stone
Eric Michael Stone was truly born with the silver spoon in his mouth. He was the product of a one-night stand between Marilee Stone and none other than Cliff Barnes. One thing Eric never really got from his mother was attention. Marilee had much rather run Stone Hurst Oil and socialize in her elite circle of friends than spend time with her only son. A nanny basically raised Eric and Marilee did her best to keep the fact that she had a son, a secret. Knowing people would ask questions as to who the father was, Marilee just kept it all hush-hush. At the age of seven, Eric was sent off to an elite private school in Canada, where he spent most of the next ten years of his life, only returning home on the rare occasion. He then went to France where he graduated from high school, went to college, and then graduated with full honors. Afterwards, he returned home to Texas and began helping Marilee run Stone Hurst Oil.

For about two years, Eric and Marilee ran the successful company, based in Galveston now. Eric grew into a respectable businessman. It was on the Oil Baron's Cruise in the fall of 1998 that Eric's life would forever change. There, he first saw his father, Cliff Barnes, but Marilee made him promise that he wouldn't tell. Eric met his half-sister, Pamela Rebecca (though he didn't know it at the time), and developed a sort of rivalry with Christopher. Weeks later, Eric met a woman by the name of Carla, who he slept with. When he found out she was a stripper, he dumped her, but she would later play an important role in his plans. He became enamored by Karen Ewing, the wife of Christopher, and decided that he had to have her for himself. Around the same time, he also became good friends with Lucy Ewing. As luck would have it, on New Year's Eve, Christopher got drunk and ended up in the strip club that Carla danced at. He ended up sleeping with her and John Ross knew about it. Weeks later, John Ross spilled the beans to Eric, who decided to use that information to break up Christopher and Karen.

Thus, Eric began an elaborate scheme to break up the two. When Karen found out about Carla, things got bad for her and Christopher. Things took a turn for the worse when Christopher and Karen discovered that Carla was pregnant. Eric later found out that the baby was actually his, but continued leading Karen to believe it was Christopher's. In a moment of vulnerability, Karen slept with Eric. Then, Todd Foster came into the picture, a man that Eric would truly grow to hate. Todd thought something was fishy about Eric and he later talked to Carla, who (not knowing who he was), confessed to helping with Eric's scheme to break up Karen and Christopher. With the information he needed, Todd exposed Eric and Christopher and Karen came back together like a magnet and steel.

Upset, Eric made an appearance at the Ewing barbecue where he got in a fight with Christopher and ended up being shot by one of Arliss Cooper's stray bullets. Paralyzed, Marilee sent Eric away to recover in an exclusive rehabilitation center, where Eric remains to this day.

But, Eric will return to Dallas in the near future. When he does, will he still harbor feelings for Karen? Will he want revenge on Todd? We'll find out soon.
