Sue Ellen gets a phone call telling her that she needs to attend a meeting about Cliff Barnes' will. At the same time, Cliff is rushing to get back to Dallas. Karen is happy because she's just moved back into Southfork with Christopher. JR goes to the Clifford Group building, hoping to find out what Sue Ellen is there for. He listens as John Ward tells Sue Ellen that she can now claim the Clifford Group, since Afton, Lucy, Pam, or Pamela Rebecca didn't fulfill their obligations. Ellie is shocked when John Ross tells her that he doesn't love Pamela Rebecca and that he is going to make her leave Southfork. Mark Graison comes to Southfork with Ryanne, and gives Pam some things that belonged to Alexander. She then receives the good news that she does NOT have neurofibramitosis and neither does the baby...Katherine lied about Digger really being her father. Mandy Winger prepares to attend the barbecue. Lucy thinks back to the last barbecue (where Mitch served her divorce papers and she slept with Cliff Barnes while drunk). She hopes this year's barbecue is better. Today is also the primary elections and Donna is nervous. She and Ray announce to Lucas and Margaret that they're getting married. Lucas is FURIOUS. Lucy introduces Gary and Val to Todd. James and Debra Lynn show up, much to JR's surprise. John Ross and Melissa plan to leave town, for an extended vacation once the barbecue is over. Christopher is upset when John Ross tells him he's kicking Pamela Rebecca off of Southfork. Christopher knows that this means he won't get to see Megan as much anymore. John Ross gives control of his 25% of Ewing Oil to Lucy, since he's leaving town. Sue Ellen makes some bad threats to JR, swearing she'll get him back for what he did to their son last year. Donna finds out she won the Democratic nomination for mayor! JR runs into Mandy and is VERY surprised to see her there. They talk about their past together. John Ross tells Pamela Rebecca that she has to leave Southfork. She is NOT happy about it. James and Todd talk about the fact that they were once related and Todd tells him about Michelle and how he got ownership of April Oil. Meanwhile, Jessica is at the barbecue and has a surprise for Ellie and Clayton. She poisons Ellie's drink and pays off a waiter to give it to her. Christopher and Karen are dancing and Eric Stone runs to them, screaming at them. At the same time, Val, Abby, Lucy, Afton, and Sue Ellen end up in the pool in a BIG fight. Meanwhile, someone aims a gun from the Southfork hayloft. Ellie drinks from a glass and feels faint. Pam collapses. A shot is fired into the pool and the water turns bloody. Another shot is fired and someone in the crowd falls to the ground.
