Release Date:
"A Ewing Barbecue" was originally released on Friday, July 3, 1998.

The ice cubes made a loud sound as they clinked against the glass JR was holding in his hand. It was Saturday and JR was at his office, along with two men in gray suits and yellow ties who stood behind him, awaiting their assignment. The first man, Phil Jacobs, had short gray hair, neatly trimmed and wore horn-rimmed glasses on his shiny nose. The second, Ed Burns, was a middle-aged man with brown hair and touches of gray, signaling the coming of old age.

"You boys want 'nything?"

"Uh no we're fine, why'd you call us down here on a Saturday morning, Mr. Ewing?"

JR led them to two red leather chairs in front of the oak desk, which he took his place at.

"Well I need you to follow someone for me, a Mr. Cliff Barnes. He's got some information I want and I need to get a little dirt on him. Do you think you could follow him, see what you come up with? You'll be very handsomely rewarded." JR said, taking a sip of the water that replaced the bourbon and branch he would normally be sipping.

"How handsome is 'handsomely'?" The first man asked, hoping for lots of dollar signs.

"Well, I'd rather pay a lot of money for a quality service. Let's just say you'll be able to buy yourself a new house, if you do an admirable job, that is."

They both beamed at JR's response, "Will do, how long do you want us to follow him?"

"Oh just for a couple of days, I wanna see what he's up to. Here's his address and phone number, if you need anything else, you just call, you hear?" JR handed Phil a yellow piece of paper with JR's handwriting clumsily written.

"Will do Mr. Ewing, we'll start today."

"Oh and call me JR! I think this is the beginning of another beautiful business relationship." JR smiled as the two detectives walked out of his office. He put the glass back on the counter, picked up his things and headed out of the office to go back home.

Earlier in the morning, it had been stormy at Southfork, casting an ominous shadow over the proceedings and preparation of the Ewing Barbecue. But finally the sun had come out and cast a warm glow over the ranch. The caterers were bustling around setting up tables; chairs; and bright red, white, and blue banners and streamers.

"I wonder where JR went, he left so fast. The barbecue is today." Sue Ellen said, worried JR was up to something.

"Don't worry Sue Ellen, I'm sure he'll be back soon. This barbecue is important to him too, I'm sure." Bobby said, trying to assure Sue Ellen, even though he wasn't sure himself.

Sue Ellen took a sip of the orange juice she was holding, "Bobby, we've got to do something about JR, he's not going to get Ewing Oil back. I won't allow it."

"I know Sue Ellen, I know."

Sue Ellen took another sip, then, "Bobby, I've got the perfect idea. Oh, the caterers are here, we can talk later?"

"Sure."

Jenna walked out onto the patio and took in the fresh morning air. She said hello to Bobby and Sue Ellen who were sitting at the table. All of a sudden she heard footsteps behind her. She gasped as she felt someone grab her by the waist and pull her backward. The person swung her around, so that they were face-to-face.

"Ray!" Jenna exclaimed, tackling him and punching him in the arm, "You scared the life outta me!"

"I'm sorry honey," Ray said laughing.

"I'm going to call Charlie again soon." Jenna said, the worried look returning to her face.

"Honey Charlie's probably at work right now."

"I know, so this time I'll be sure to catch her at home."

"Jenna-"

"Ray, I'm going to go call her, I'll be right back."

"Ok," Ray said slowly, knowing he wouldn't win this fight.

Jenna walked through the family room and around the corner to the foyer where the phone sat. She picked it up, dialed the number and waited.

"Damnit," She said as she hung the phone up, redialed the number and tried again, she waited once more, "Something has to be wrong."

Jenna hung up the phone then opened the phonebook and flipped to the yellow pages. She scanned the page; found the number she wanted and picked up the phone.

"Hi, I'd like to book a flight to Switzerland...yeah the quicker you can get me on, the better."

She heard footsteps come from around the corner, it was Bobby.

"Hey Jenna, what are you doing?"

"I'm booking a flight to Switzerland, I'm really worried about Charlie. She hasn't answered any of my calls."

"Well if you think it's best, we're gonna miss you here. Is Ray going with you?" Bobby asked, worried that she was thinking about going by herself.

"No I think I'm gonna go by myself. I want him to stay here, Gary's coming home and I don't want to pull him away from this now because of my bad feelings."

"Well why don't I go with you, just to make sure you're safe, I don't like the idea of you going by yourself."

"Bobby, I'll be fine, I'm a big girl. Now if you'll excuse me Bobby, my flight leaves in 3 hours, I'm going to go pack."

"Ok, Jenna."

Bobby watched her walk upstairs, then quietly picked up the phone and pushed redial.

"Yeah I'd like to make a flight to Switzerland-yeah that'd be great, I'd like to be on the same flight as Jenna Krebbs. Ok, great. Yeah I'll pay by credit card."

John Ross and Karen jogged across the track at Dallas City Park. They had managed to work off a lot of stress, while talking out all of their problems at the same time. Things seemed better than ever...and Pamela seemed like a thing of the past. That was, until, John Ross and Karen ran into her at the park.

"Hi John Ross," said Pamela, glaring at Karen, "I've been looking for you all morning, Bobby told me you would be here."

"What do you want Pamela?" asked John Ross inquisitively.

Karen grabbed John Ross' arm as Pamela talked.

"I'm going to the doctor today, she's doing a sonogram, and I thought maybe you'd like to come along."

"Pamela, I...I can't. I planned on spending the day with Karen."

"It'll just be a little while, and think of how much it would mean to our child someday to know that both of his parents saw his first picture together."

"Pamela.... I..."

"Please? It'll just be a couple of hours."

"It's ok John Ross," said Karen, "this is your baby, you should be there. I can find something else to do today."

"Are you sure Karen?" said John Ross.

"Yes, really, it's ok."

"Great, come on John Ross, we'll take my car."

Pamela shot a glance of triumph at Karen and she and John Ross turned and walked towards the parking lot, dodging kids on skateboards, rollerblades, and everything else.

Robert Stockton sat behind his large, executive-style desk, tapping his fingers. His secretary's voice came across the intercom.

"Patrick Bradbery is here."

"Great, send him in," said Stockton.

A few moments later, Bradbery walked into the room. The two men exchanged handshakes and greetings and finally got down to business.

"I've been doing a little research on JR Ewing and found that this Ratigan person does indeed work for him and he does know about my father. However, he wasn't able to get through to JR completely, so now we've got to stop him before he can."

"I think I see what you mean," said Bradbery, "and that's what you need me for I suppose."

"You're a very observant man Bradbery, I want you to do whatever you have to do to shut Ratigan up. Pay him off or kill him, whatever it takes. It doesn't matter to me. And if you succeed, you'll never have to work again."

"Yes sir, I'll take care of him right away."

"Good."

Christopher Ewing awoke, unaware of where he was until he saw the paper that was lying on the bed next to him.

He was holding a death certificate with the name Pamela Barnes Ewing written across the top.

"NO!" Christopher yelled, "this is not true." He threw the paper to the side and continued to search through the folder. Chris came across several photos of his mother. The photos were apparently taken before and after plastic surgery. He continued to flip through the papers until he found another form. Apparently where Pam had been committed to a sanitarium about five years ago. There was an address at the bottom of the first page.

"It's worth a try," said Christopher getting up and leaving the hotel room. He called for a taxi and got in when one stopped next to him.

JR's green BMW pulled around the corner into the driveway and parked behind Bobby's car. He stepped out of the car with the phone in his hand, talking to someone.

"Well I want it taken care of soon, I don't pay you to take your time."

"I'm working on Beam now, don't worry JR he'll be taken care of."

JR hung up the phone and stopped.

"Wow, Southfork looks great, looks like we're ready for the Barbecue." He said as he walked over to Sue Ellen.

"Where have you been? The Barbecue starts in an hour." Sue Ellen said, disapprovingly.

"I just had to take care of a little business, that's all." JR said as he walked into the house, "I'm going upstairs to change!"

"Yeah I was afraid it was just 'business'."

Sue Ellen had gone to Dallas Memorial to pick up Patricia and bring her home for the barbecue and had just returned to be welcomed by everyone.

"Well, I'd hate to know you went through all of this trouble to throw this barbecue just for me," said Patricia.

Sue Ellen and the others laughed at Patricia's sense of humor, which she had managed to keep; even after all she had been through.

"Patricia!" said JR, coming out of the house.

"Hello JR."

"I'm glad you recovered in time for the barbecue."

"Yes, I'm sure you are JR."

"Now Patricia, you don't have the crazy notion that I pushed you down the stairs do you?"

"No, I fainted, I'd been feeling weak all day. But that still doesn't excuse what all you've done to Sue Ellen."

"Mother, why don't we forget about this right now, we wouldn't want to spoil the day."

"Of course not," replied Patricia.

"The guests should start arriving soon," said Bobby, "and I've taken the liberty to invite a few surprise visitors."

"Now Bobby Ewing," said Sue Ellen, "who have you invited?"

"You'll just have to wait and see."

In her room, Lucy picked up the phone and started dialing a number, but at the last minute, put the phone back down. After a few minutes of consideration, she dialed again.

"Hello?" said Mitch Cooper.

"Mitch, it's Lucy, hi."

"Hi Lucy. Nice to hear from you."

"I'm calling to invite you to the barbecue."

"Oh, well, I thought maybe my invitation had been lost in the mail," replied Mitch sarcastically.

"Mitch, I'd really like for you to come, but you're not making this easy for me."

"If you want me to come, then I'll be there."

"Thanks Mitch."

"See you later then Lucy."

"Ok, bye."

Lucy hung up the phone and thought for a moment about the happier days of their marriage and the proceeded to get ready for the barbecue.

The taxi pulled up to a drab-looking stone building that appeared to be fairly old. Vines grew up the sides and anywhere else they could find a place to grasp. Christopher paid the cabby and walked up the walk. The sanitarium made his skin crawl. It reminded him of some medieval castle juxtaposed into a jungle surrounding, totally out of place. What he saw on the inside surprised him. It was decorated in modern décor and actually appeared to be with the times. The floors were a light cream tile and the walls were covered with contemporary wallpaper. A lady at the front desk greeted him.

"Hi," said Christopher, "I need some information on a former patient of yours. She was my mother."

"Oh, what's her name?" asked the lady.

"Pamela Barnes Ewing."

"I'll see what I can come up with."

The lady, who had said her name was Gabrielle, began typing at a keyboard. She stared intently at the screen for a few moments and a solemn look spread across her face.

"I'm sorry, but Pamela Barnes Ewing died here over a year ago."

"I don't believe that...I don't believe she's dead, something isn't connecting here. Can you give me any more information?"

"Just that she was admitted by Dr. David Franks in October 1992. She was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. She was put in ward 1, downstairs, where all of the serious-case patients go and stayed there until her death last year."

"Thanks for your help. Wait a minute, do you have any information on where she was buried?"

"Yes I do, all of our patients without any family are buried at the same place. I hope you find what you're looking for, I really do," said Gabrielle, handing him a piece of paper. "That's the address. Good luck."

"Thanks," said Christopher smiling.

He turned and left the sanitarium, glad to be out.

JR changed into comfortable clothes and came downstairs to see if anything more could be done. Sue Ellen was already talking to one of the caterers. He found the person he wanted to talk to; he walked over to one of the security guards who was standing by the driveway.

"Jacobs? That you?"

"The one and only, so you'll point out Mr. Barnes?"

"Yeah you'll know who he is. You've got other men here right?"

"Yeah there's one over there, and over there, they'll follow Mr. Barnes when he leaves."

Great, I'll be back here in an hour."

As soon as Lucy walked out of the house, she noticed a car making it's way up the driveway. JR noticed her stare and looked down the driveway.

He saw a strange car pulling up to the driveway with what looked like four people inside. He stood and waited by the pool waiting for the car to pull up to the bushes. He watched in horror as the car's passengers got out, all four at the same time, as if it were planned.

"Oh my God..." JR said in a slow Texas drawl.

"Well hello JR, it's nice to be back in Dallas again," Gary Ewing replied with a sly grin on his face that he couldn't suppress.

"Of course you know Valene and my two children, Bobby and Betsy."

Lucy ran up to the car and into her father's arms, "Daddy! Momma! I've missed you two so much!" Lucy cried, tears of joy streaming down her face.

Bobby came out of the house, "Well, Gary, Val! It's great to see you back home!"

"Hey Bobby!" Gary gave his brother a hug.

"We got Ray's telephone call, so we came out here for the Barbecue, where is Ray anyway?" Val said.

"I'm right here, how are ya? I was helpin' set up for the big sha-bang," Ray smiled as he shook hands with Gary and gave Val a hug.

"Yeah it does look great," Gary remarked, "Let's go inside and talk."

Everyone turned around and headed inside, Lucy walking behind her brother and sister she hadn't seen in a long time.

A large crowd had begun to gather at Southfork Ranch, it looked like it might be the biggest Ewing Barbecue ever. "The Yellow Rose of Texas" played from the bandstand, adding to the festivity.

JR walked through the crowd, a glass of iced tea in his hand, seeing familiar faces that he hadn't seen in years. He saw Bobby talking to someone across the crowd and he started over there.

"Well Punk Anderson!" exclaimed JR offering his hand.

"JR, I haven't seen you in ages!" said Punk, shaking his hand.

"I told you I'd invited a few surprise visitors," said Bobby.

"Hello JR," said Mavis Anderson, turning from a group of women.

"Mavis, what a pleasure," said JR, kissing her hand.

"This is turning out to be some barbecue after all."

"I know I'm enjoying it," said Punk.

"Well if you'll excuse me, I think I'll go see who else I can find. I'll be back later," said JR.

JR continued across the crowd until he saw Anita getting a drink. She was dressed in jeans, a denim vest, and a cowboy hat.

"Hi JR," said Anita, "I didn't think I'd ever find you in this crowd. I had no idea this was going to be so big."

"It's the biggest barbecue yet. I'm glad you could make it."

"Hello JR," broke in a voice from behind them.

"Well, hello Mac, I didn't know you were invited. And Rose! Where have you been hiding? I haven't seen you in a long time."

"Then you must not have been looking too hard JR," said Rose, "You've always found me when you needed me before."

"JR, why don't you go introduce me to your ex-wife, come on, let's go," said Anita, pulling JR away.

Lucy walked with a drink in her hand, surveying the crowd for familiar faces, when a tap on her shoulder startled her. She reeled around.

"Mitch!" she gasped, "you scared me to death!"

"Nice to see you too," he replied.

"So, are you enjoying yourself?"

"Yes, but that's not what I came here for." Mitch motioned to someone standing by the pool and the man came towards them.

"What is this?" said Lucy perplexed.

"You are being served with divorce papers Mrs. Cooper," said the man, obviously Mitch's lawyer.

"Mitch stood silently as Lucy opened the envelope, an expression or shock appearing on her face. "Oh my God. Mitch..I..I."

"I want a divorce Lucy, those are the papers. There's no use in prolonging this farce marriage of ours, it's just not worth it."

"Mitch, we can work things out..."

"No Lucy, it's past that point."

Lucy turned to walk away, but at the last second, turned toward Mitch, and doused him with her drink. "You pig."

Karen stood alone, sipping on a drink, only half tasting it, thinking of John Ross. The appointment should be over by now, but John Ross was still nowhere to be seen.

"Has he deserted me?" she thought to herself.

"Karen? Where's John Ross?" said Sue Ellen, walking up to her.

"He went with Pamela to the doctor."

"Oh, is he going to be here for the barbecue?"

"Your guess is as good as mine."

John Ross and Pamela walked out of the large doctor's office and into the sunny Dallas afternoon. John Ross unlocked the car door and helped Pamela in and then got in on his side.

"Well John Ross, what did you think?"

"That's amazing, the sonogram I mean. When will we know if it's a boy or girl?"

"He said it's a little early to tell right now, but it'll be soon."

"I can't wait to find out," said John Ross looking at his watch, "oh dammit, it's one o' clock, Karen's probably wondering where I am, are you coming to the barbecue?"

"Sure, I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Cliff and Afton arrived at Southfork along with the other guests, for the Ewing Barbecue, which hadn't been held for a couple of years.

"I remember these barbecues, drinking, getting thrown in the pool. I remember that year when we stood up to JR and then the rest of the Ewings who had to come and 'protect' him." Cliff said to Afton as the walked around the people who were chatting about this and that.

"Well Cliff you did cause a lot of trouble back in those days."

"Yeah, I don't know why I wasted my energy." Cliff said matter-of-factly.

"Let's just have fun today, ok?"

"Yeah, I'm gonna go get a drink, I'll be back." Cliff walked over to the bar where Lucy was sitting.

"Hi Lucy, how are you doing today?"

"I'm fine Cliff." Lucy said staring out across the field.

"Is something wrong, you seem a little preoccupied?"

"It's Mitch. He filed for a divorce. Our marriage is as good as over."

"Well, all this drinking isn't gonna do much for you either." Cliff said.

"Well maybe you should join me, from what I've heard you aren't having much good fortune either." Lucy said slowly.

Cliff didn't say anything, then he grabbed her by the shoulder and turned her around, "What have you heard?"

"Ow, Cliff, stop being so forceful, come inside and I'll tell you."

Lucy got up and staggered into the house, and a minute later Cliff followed her.

"Ok. What's going on?" Cliff asked loudly.

Paul, one of the men assigned to follow Cliff Barnes, watched as he walked into the house. He guessed Cliff was following the girl who had taken the same route a couple seconds ago. He radioed the others and informed them that something was going on.

"Well go follow 'em for God's sake!" Phil Jacobs replied impatiently.

He slowly made his way to the house, so he wouldn't look suspicious. He walked through the door leading into the kitchen. The kitchen was bathed in sunlight and every surface and utensil gleamed as he walked through quietly. He walked through the dining room across the foyer and looked into the living room, there was no one there. He walked back and went into what looked like another family room; there was no one there either. He walked silently up the stairs. When he got halfway up the stairs he heard the noises, what sounded like laughter. It was coming from straight-ahead. He walked down the hall straight ahead. He stopped in front of a door that was partly open. He looked through the crack and saw Cliff Barnes and another young lady kissing. He took his camera and started taking pictures.

Christopher stood staring at what lay before him. The headstone read "Pamela Barnes Ewing". Somehow, it made his mother's death seem all too real. All of his doubts that she wasn't dead fell away.

"She's gone. I'll never get to see her again."

He sat on the ground beside the headstone. The memories he had of his mother all came flooded back to him. After a half-hour, Christopher turned and walked away, after taking one last glance at the headstone. The depressing mood of the cemetery had permeated his senses and a tear welled up in his eye. He wiped it away and got back in the taxi awaiting him.

Pamela had asked John Ross to stop by her house for a minute so that she could freshen up. While inside, she got a tube of her lipstick and smeared a bit on a piece of tissue.

"Little Miss Karen is going to be in for quite a surprise when she sees John Ross," said Pamela, smiling.

Pamela brushed her hair and went back outside to find John Ross waiting on the porch. She followed him down the steps and "tripped" smearing the lipstick on his collar as she caught herself.

"Are you ok?" asked John Ross concerned.

"Yeah, I think so."

"Good, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself, not at this time."

"Oh don't worry John Ross, I'm just fine," Pamela thought to herself, phase one of my plan is in action.

"Well come on," said John Ross, unaware of the red lipstick smeared on his collar, "we're going to miss the barbecue."

"Final boarding call for the 1pm flight, nonstop to Switzerland. "

The announcer was unusually loud, Bobby thought as he watched Jenna board. Then he jumped in line and made his way up to the hostess stand. He handed his boarding pass to the lady standing by the door.

"Thank you sir, enjoy your flight." The attendant smiled and handed his boarding pass back to him.

Bobby looked around for Jenna; there was no sign of her. Then he saw her sitting in first-class, in the very front, and there was an empty seat next to her.

He walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder, "Excuse me miss..."

"Bobby! What are you doing here?"

"Don't worry about that, I told you I didn't like the fact of you going by yourself. Besides I love Switzerland."

Jenna sighed reluctantly, "Well, nothing can be done now," She patted the seat next to her, "come sit up here."

They sat silently while the flight attendants reviewed safety procedures and waited for the plane to take off.

"JR, we've found Cliff. Looks like he making love to a young woman inside."

"He's what? Who?" JR asked, hoping it wasn't Karen. JR wouldn't put it past him to do something like that, hell he wouldn't put it past himself for that matter.

"I don't know who she is, Paul said she was a short redhead"

"Oh my God Lucy."

"Excuse me?"

"Nothing, you can pull him out of there now. I want those pictures." JR sneered at the thought of Cliff and Lucy in bed.

"Sure thing JR."

"That could be just the material I was looking for," said JR smiling.

"Excuse me, Sue Ellen, you seen Jenna?" Ray asked, "I haven't seen her in a long time, she said she had something to take care of and that she'd be right back." Ray smiled at the people who were standing around Sue Ellen.

"I saw her leave about an hour ago Ray, I don't know where she was going. As a matter of fact, I saw Bobby leave right after her; I didn't know what was going on. But I think I saw Bobby putting a plane ticket in his shirt pocket."

"Damn....thanks Sue Ellen. Excuse me folks." Ray walked out to his truck, smiling at people who said hi to him as he walked past.

Ray got in his truck and headed out toward the airport.

"I told her Charlie would be fine."

John Ross spotted Karen across the crowd and waved to her. He meandered his way through the people, stopping to say hi only once, until he came to her.

"John Ross, where have you been?"

"The appointment took a little longer than I expected."

"John Ross, you're 2 hours late. What have you been doing?"

"Nothing, we just left the doctor's office." John Ross noticed Karen staring at him strangely. At the same time, Pamela walked up beside John Ross. Karen continued to stare, a look of contempt spreading across her face. Her eyes moved from John Ross' collar to Pamela's lips.

"You lying bastard!" screamed Karen, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Karen? What's wrong?" asked John Ross in a bewildered tone.

Karen stepped closer to John Ross, slapping him.

"Now you just wait a minute here," said Pamela, trying to suppress a smile, "you have no right to do that."

"The hell I don't you tramp. You've managed to sink your claws into John Ross one too many times an I'm fed up with it! This is the LAST time!" screamed Karen, lunging for Pamela.

John Ross stood in awe, confused about what was happening.

Karen hit Pamela in the jaw, knocking one of her earrings loose; it made a clanging sound as if bounced on the concrete and into the pool. The rest of the crowd at the barbecue came to a silent halt as they watched the two girls fight. Afton ran over to where they were and attempted to pull Pamela away from Karen, but Karen was too persistent. Sue Ellen grabbed Karen and managed to keep her away from Pamela.

"Come over here Karen," said Sue Ellen motioning to the house, "we need to talk."

Afton led Pamela away from the crowd, away from the staring faces.

"I want you to know, I have NEVER been so embarrassed in my life!" said Afton forcefully.

"She attacked me first," replied Pamela.

"I don't care, this is not the time or place for this. Now we're going home as soon as we find your daddy."

"I'm sorry sir, the plane going to Switzerland left 45 minutes ago." The lady smiled reassuringly at Ray.

"Damn."

"I'm sorry sir. Did you need something?"

"Yes, can you tell me if two people were on-board? I have their names, Bobby Ewing and Jenna Krebbs."

She typed in the computer, then smiled, "Yes they were, non-stop flight to Switzerland."

"When is your next flight to Switzerland?"

"Well, there's one that's making a stop in Switzerland leaving in 3 hours. Would you like for me to check on availability on that one?"

"Sure thing, that would be great. I'll wait."

Afton walked into Southfork, but didn't see Cliff. Hesitantly, she walked up the large staircase and into the hallway. As she passed a cracked door, something caught her eye. Afton pushed open the door and was shocked by what she saw.

"Oh my God..."

She stared and saw Lucy in Cliff's arms, both of them asleep. Without waking them, she shut the door and went downstairs, leaving the darkness of the house, and entering the late afternoon sun.

"Come on Pamela, we're going home now."

Pamela went without question, unnerved by the strange look on her mother's face.

It was near 7:00 U.S. Time and they and they had been flying for a while, it seemed like forever. Bobby looked out of the window.

"Hey look we're over the Alps now."

"Yeah they're beautiful." Jenna replied.

Bobby stared harder outside, putting his hands on the window as if he was looking at something hidden in sky.

"Bobby, what's wrong?"

"Jenna, the plane is descending." Bobby said nervously. "No that can't be, we're flying over the Alps, there's no place to land."

"Jenna.... We-are going down. Fast." Bobby called an attendant over, "What's going on, we're going down?"

"Everything's fine sir, just sit back and relax."

Then the radio crackled and the pilot came on.

"Attention, this is your pilot speaking. I'd like to ask you all to put on your seatbelts, we're experiencing difficulties, and we may crash. Please stay clam."

"Oh my God, oh my God. Bobby we ARE going down." Jenna grabbed a hold of Bobby's hand and looked into his eyes.

Bobby looked out at the mountains; they were coming closer and closer.

"I don't think we're gonna live through this Jenna, those mountains are deep, this plane can't take that kind of damage."

The plane started rocking violently and screams were heard from everywhere, children were crying and adults were screaming. Suddenly, the oxygen masks come down from above and Bobby thought back about how silly those safety procedures were. He never thought he would have to put those to use.

"Bobby, I want to tell you this now, in case we don't live through this."

The mountains were coming closer and faster.

"I love you so much."

"Jenna don't-we have to live through this."

"Bobby I've always loved you, I always will. I'll never forget what a kind and caring man you are." Tears started to stream down Jenna's face.

Bobby and Jenna embraced and a tear rolled down Bobby's cheek as he thought about Christopher and never seeing his son again.

Suddenly the plane hit something, really hard. Bobby looked back and there was a huge gaping hole in the floor of the plane and a few seats were missing. More people screamed in horror and fear.

"Jenna," Bobby paused, "I love you too. I'll never forget our relationship." Bobby pulled Jenna toward him and kissed her.

Then the plane hit again, harder this time. A loud noise and violent crash tore the two apart and they looked back to find the back half of the plane missing, only the cold air of the Swiss Alps rushing in behind them. Seats were missing from what was left of their half of the plane, people were holding on to anything they could grab hold of.

The plane finally hit the ground and caught fire, it skidded across a valley and flames rose high above the tattered plane. There was no sound except the sound of the flames crackling, no one moved. The night grew silent, all the screams of the little children and adults ceased.
